Introducing our new team!

Nicky Evans • Jan 22, 2021 • 2 min read

We have employees! We are extremely grateful to the Liverpool City Region Future Innovation Fund, which is enabling us to fund two new part-time posts. This is going to help enormously with the work we are currently undertaking to develop the platform and co-op.

Exciting news visual with hands

Project Co-ordinator

We are delighted to be welcoming Julie Connolly to our team as a Project Co-ordinator. Julie is well known to both the deaf community and BSL interpreters in the area, having been a team leader at Action On Hearing Loss’ (now RNID) national interpreting service previously based in Liverpool. Julie has many years of experience in delivering contracts across health and social care as well as for other areas of interpreting and is a great asset to the team. She is valued and highly respected by both communities and we are absolutely over the moon that she has chosen to work with us at Signalise.

We hope you will all join us in giving a very warm welcome to our newest member of the Signalise Team.

Project Manager

We are very happy that one of our board members, Tina Little, has agreed to take on the role of Project Manager. For those of you that don’t know Tina she is a well-respected interpreter with great standing in the community. She has a wealth of knowledge about the history of interpreting and contracts in Merseyside and is passionate about the ability of a co-operative to create better interpreting services for all users.
