Local Unite branches back Signalise!

Unite the Union logo and helping hand pointing

You know you are doing things right when the local unions get behind you! We are receiving an amazing show of support from Unite the Union in Liverpool and also from individual union branches. We are not only receiving messages of solidarity but also some substantial donations.

During the crowd funder some of our members made contact with Eddiie Roberts who had previously been supportive and active in preserving interpreting standards in the Merseyside area. Eddie was knowledgeable about interpreting as his sister Linda had been profoundly deaf and a user of local interpreting services. Eddie wrote to Ritchie James NW Regional secretary to consider supporting Signalise and we were most grateful to receive a donation from the Finance and General Purposes Committee.

Thank you to the following people and regions/branches:

Ritchie James, Regional Secretary

Terry Finnegan, Branch Secretary Jaguar Halewood Branch

Peter Hughes, Branch Secretary Ellesmere Port Branch

Steve Hewitt, Branch Secretary NW6/17

Martin Carrick, Manchester Finance and Legal

John Sheridan, Merseyside Area Civil Engineering

As firm allies of our communities, Unite have yet again shown the generosity and kindness of its members that Liverpool and the NW is famous for! As more branches continue to show their support, we’d like to thank all those within the union who are supporting us to make Signalise possible.
