Our design gurus at Baxter and Bailey have come up with something that’s new and exciting and completely different from anything else in the Deaf sector. The design has exceeded our expectations and we hope that you will love it as much as we do!

As Signalise, represents something that is new and innovative, we wanted a brand that reflected this. Our playful hand character, which we will be asking you to name, does this perfectly.

For the word geeks amongst you, the definition of Signalise is “to be a clear sign of something”, and we are a clear sign of things to come, providing sustainable and community led interpreting! Whilst this wasn’t our first choice for a new name, we think it fits really well. About that…

As a cooperative we register with the financial conduct authority (FCA) and unfortunately the name Signify was a registered trademark so wasn’t allowed. No one had anticipated this being a problem, as we are in a completely different sector, so back we went to our original shortlist of names and after some thorough checks, Signalise came out on top.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Baxter and Bailey who have been so patient and supportive throughout all the to-ing and fro-ing with the FCA. Thank you, you’ve been brilliant!

We invite you to have a look at our newly re-branded website and to let us know what you think of the new design!
